Nyeri County is renowned for its significant contribution to Kenya's coffee production, standing out among other coffee-producing regions. This picturesque area lies nestled between the majestic Mt Kenya and the Aberdare ranges, located just to the east of the Great Rift Valley. This coffee is grown in this region, at altitudes of 1600 to 1900 masl by numerous small holder famers. Once the ripe cherries are picked, they are taken to the Ngunguru factory for processing. This coffee has notes of dark chocolate, lemon and black tea.
